Since then, Reigns has defeated a slew of Superstars, including John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Edge, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Bryan Danielson, and Jey Uso, to name a few.

Reigns join an elite group of wrestlers. Only Bruno Sammartino (2,803 days and 1,237 days in WWE), Bob Backlund (2,135), Hulk Hogan (1,474), and Pedro Morales (1,027) have had longer single runs with a world title in the organization, according to WWE.
Because each of those stints took place in a period when years-long reigns on top were the norm, their records may never be broken, though this just serves to emphasize how much WWE has spent on Reigns.

Eric Bischoff lauded Reigns last Sunday for his dedication to staying at the top of the WWE food chain. Bischoff also denied that WWE hasn’t prepared anyone to dethrone Reigns.
The WWE on BT Sport Twitter handles recently asked fans to vote on who they wanted to see end The Tribal Chief’s historic reign. Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Gunther, NXT Champion Bron Breakker, Bobby Lashley, RAW Tag Team Champion Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Sheamus were named as nine prospective Superstars to dethrone Reigns.
Reigns have spent 782 days as WWE, Universal, and World Heavyweight Champion during his time with the business, taking into consideration all of his reigns.
WWE has yet to properly recognize Roman’s achievement, but they will undoubtedly do so in the near future.
